Although the day started of pretty chilly it soon turned in to a lovely day, which we are always pleased to have.

There was a good number of entrants this year and with the driving classes being run under the Borders and Lothian area it was great to see so many of their members supporting the show.

There were a few different classes this year and it was great to see them all being well supported there really was something for everyone there was quite a lot of interest from visitors to the event and quite a few event competitors came to see what was going on.

Jane MacInnes our judge had a busy start to her day firstly judging the Mountain and Moorland class, which was won by Barry Cork driving his welsh pony Maesgwyn Hilltopper, then swiftly moving on to the exercise class which was won by Joyce Simpson driving Wedding Ring followed on by the judging of the country vehicle class which was won by Ronald Forgan driving his Welsh cob Boleyn Clarence. The next class of the day was the Private Driving, which was well, supported with seven competitors forward the winner of the class and champion was Ann Rushton-Green driving Mickey. Joyce Simpson and Wedding ring were reserve champions.

John Cowdrey judged the afternoon club classes, which were well supported also; Maggie Moodycliffe driving Tess won the first class of the afternoon, which was the novice whip class. Joyce Simpson driving Wedding Ring won the novice horse/pony class, always fun and entertaining to watch is the cones which was won by Anne Baillie driving Tango, the ride and drive class was won by Alan Ewing driving Wilstrop Crackerjack. The club point’s champion was Joyce Simpson and Wedding Ring, Maggie Moodycliffe and Tess were reserve.
